What goes in the rabbit's right ear?

The rabbit's tattoo goes in the left ear.  It is required to be in the ear permanently.

A county fair may tattoo a number or symbol in the right ear for validation.  This is done through tattooing with a tattoo pen or clamp pliers.  The right ear may also have the ARBA's R with a circle around it.  This means the rabbit is registered with the ARBA.
